DB10 Front LCR Speaker

The DB10 is designed as a Front Left, Centre and Right (LCR) channel for dedicated premium cinema rooms. It is a high efficiency design that can produce very detailed subtle audio information such as whisper quiet dialogue. Its dynamic range can also go up to, and beyond high SPL (Sound Pressure Level) audio such as close-range gunshots, jet engines and explosions. The efficiency of the design in turning electrical audio signals to sound pressure waves makes for dynamic, detailed, and exciting audio characteristics. This is ideal for creating an immersive movie experience.

Driver Design

Featuring a unique (ESS technology) is a constant coverage high frequency waveguide mounted to the top of the 180mm slim cabinet. The cast aluminium elliptical design provides consistent horizontal plane frequency response, “throwing” the sound further into the room and to the audience. A 1” Titanium compression driver built to exacting standards utilizes a multiple array of neodymium magnets to produce high frequencies with the upmost detail. A 10” hand built bass/mid driver made especially for us by British manufacturer Volt Loudspeakers features a large symmetrical field magnet and cast aluminium frame. The magnet system and lightweight doped cone results in a fast dynamic mid-range and upper bass response, for a more exciting and detailed sound. The fast upper bass response is essential for delivering the “Punch” and dynamic “Slam” of high dynamic audio mixes found in modern films.

Cabinet Design

At only 180mm deep, the DB10 can be easily placed within a small void behind acoustic screens, without having to lose too much space within the room. The cabinet dimensions are identical to that of the matching DB10-SUB, so that a “wall” of speakers can be built by the cinema designer. The speaker can simply sit on the base of the behind screen recess or wall mounted using the two sets of rear 200x200mm M8 VESA standard bolt positions.
